On the Trail of Mezuzahs in Kraków

Among the streets of Kazimierz, in addition to the monuments of Jewish culture assigned to guidebooks, still forgotten synagogues and churches, Hebrew and Yiddish inscriptions on libraries, as well as signs after mezuzahs, which are often included in our register. Remnants of apartments that no longer exist are also available. The reason is the explanation about them. The location of the mezuzah pieces and an attempt to "sensitive the eye" to their disappearing presence in the city will be a pretext for a micro-historical story about the Jewish inhabitants of Krakow. Biographies of people associated with devices and addresses will also be used to take a broader look at the electric current of Judaism that operated in pre-war Krakow.
